Position Purpose:  To build relationships with existing customers to retain existing business, explore any additional business opportunities and acquire new business through lead generation. Full end to end process with the customer from quote confirmation, to order process to ensure the customers product is dispatched in a timely manner.

Accountability:  Responsible for a specific set of customers working within and exceeding the Company policy on customer satisfaction which requires rapid processing of inquiries and orders. Close liaison is needed both with customers and with other departments of the Company. Maintaining a high level of communication with customers in the region of responsibility to maximize sales and satisfaction. Senior level discussions with both internal and external customers expected, with concise and professional communication essential.

Job Skills and Requirements

  • Build relationships with customers to ensure maximum potential is reached through discussion and account development.
  • Provide quotations based on customer inquiries and where necessary / applicable, by clarifying any technical or commercial issues with the relevant department & pursuing these inquiries by regular contact with customers.
  • Process orders received according to Company procedures, monitor the progress of the order until they are delivered, having regard to customers’ financial position, maintaining contact with other departments and customers throughout & provide any necessary after-sales service.
  • Maintain close contact when required with overseas manufacturing facilities and sales organizations for the maximization of sales in territories and exchange of information.
  • Be aware of and meet the requirements of overseas regions in regard to inspection & special technical specifications.
  • Process any complaints from customer and ensure high level of communication with the customer throughout the complaints and Returned Goods procedure.
  • Visit from time to time relevant exhibitions & customers in the region of responsibility at a period as agreed upon with the customer
  • Proactively interface with customers for forecast conversion as required.
  • Support the sales team with the sales plan to maximize orders & customer satisfaction in identified areas.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to establish a clear marketing campaign plan for the region of responsibility to maximize sales opportunities.

Education/Training Requirements

A high school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have 5 + experience in a Customer Service, Inside Sales role or equivalent professional work experience preferably in manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with various levels of the business.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 

  • Computer experience (MS Office Software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Business IT Systems (e.g., SAP) experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong teamwork skills and analytical abilities
  • Experience working collaboratively with external customers and partners.
  • Minimal travel required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

Salary Range: $23-$26/Hour
